Drive to Five captures the love, joy, disappointments and challenges of a community, with a lot of great football writing along the way. Plotkin and Thompson do a tremendous job of telling the story through first hand accounts. Their care and research pays off in a chronicle that will no doubt join the ranks of great Texas football books. It’s a winner.
