Cavaliers Show Off QB Speed in Convincing Win over San Marcos
Lakeway - Three different quarterbacks flashed their running ability with long touchdown runs as Lake Travis closed out its non-district slate with a 62-13 win over San Marcos.
Chaston Ditta scored on a 36-yard run that saw him run to the left sideline before cutting all the way back across the field to score along the right sideline before tossing a pair of touchdown passes to Patrick Colby as Lake Travis built a 27-0 lead. In the second half, Noah Hopkins found the end zone from 21 yards out and Logan King added a 57-yard touchdown run in the 4th quarter.
In all, Lake Travis rushed for 239 yards on just 19 carries against the overmatched Rattlers. Ditta also passed for 190 yards -- 167 of them to Colby -- before leaving the game early in the 3rd quarter. Lake Travis' starting offense ran just 22 plays on the night.
Benjamin Soules added a special teams touchdown for the Cavaliers when he blocked a punt and returned it for a 1st quarter score. Wesley Glass added a 50 yard touchdown run on his 1st varsity carry.
